Great great point! Centering, except for effect, has no business in reg'lar texts. At least those designers do not use Bold and/or Caps, I hope. Or do they?

Your sentiment is exactly the thought that bugs me whenever I listen to a choir and cannot distinguish the words. A sheet accompanying the programme would help. Or printed out on the ticket, a link to the website where those who care can find the lyrics. Maybe even an audio sang to the limited accompaniment of a piano by one or two voices, to get the flavour for the grand opus? Knowing the words that inspired the tune makes all the difference for the ability to appreciate of the entire oeuvre.

Sir John may now be playing for a different crowd, but as long as there are those who will share their wonderful memories, and as long as there are those who will choose to listen to his music, he can only be considered to be in repose.

Thanks for this lovely tribute that triggered a few happy memories.
